At Better Ballot Iowa, we believe a better political system is possible. Two simple upgrades - single open primaries and ranked choice voting -  can create a better, more representative voting system for Iowans. We call it Voting 2.0.
Single Open Primaries
Primaries are open to all candidates. No party affiliations required of candidates or voters. The top 5 vote-getters in a primary advance to the general election.
Rank Choice Voting
Instead of just voting for one candidate, ranked-choice voting means Iowa voters rank the candidates in order of preference.
